This just in from GNA: Work on the known universe’s first Dyson Sphere came to a “crashing” halt today when the Colossus Class freighter Enderion collided with the sphere upon exiting sub-space. Initial reports indicate that not only did the impact cause systemic failure across all the spheres power system, but has also destabilized the sphere. Current estimates have the Dyson Sphere colliding with the star it was surrounding, the Stelles Star, within one galactic year. There were no survivors aboard the Enderion.

A representative for the Galactic Energy Corporation, the owners of the sphere, released a statement assuring stockholders and investors that all efforts were being made to stabilize the Dyson Sphere’s orbit and that this tragic event is only a minor setback in what was to be a new source of clean energy for the Universe. When questioned on the cause of the collision and whether or not it was preventable, they failed to comment.
